Who's behind AFP Webworks?
Michael Kear, the CEO has more than 30 years experience analysing companies' systems, recommending improvements and implementing changes in the Business Forms Industry. In the Sales field, he's been a major account manager with Major computer corporations, and branch manager in a key branch dealing with large Government and Corporate accounts. Before opening his own business, he was part of an export project for Lexmark, developing a new controller board for printers, and marketing it through Europe and Asia. Also, he's gathered experience developing catalogues, direct marketing, and in running a telemarketing business.
Michael has been using the Internet since well before the days of the personal computer, and has been using it for business and personal communications since the advent of commercial access in the early 90s. In the fast-moving world of the Internet, Michael has been there since the early days, and has a deep understanding of what it can do for businesses, clubs, societies, other organisations and individuals. He conducts courses, writes and lectures about the practical aspects of the Internet
Since starting his own business, AFP Electronic Forms, in 1994 Michael has drawn on all this experience to develop direct marketing businesses on the Internet. He's developed children's handwriting fonts for use in primary school classrooms and an on-line business creating and marketing high-end model kits. There are two more niche on-line businesses under development, and, of course, this Web Development business. Dynamic websites are the exciting way to build for the internet - using programs and databases to serve the pages to the users makes it a breeze to keep the content fresh and interesting
